Daily Barca News round-up and updates
Chelsea’s transfer ban and Barca’s possible summer target Azpilicueta
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been officially sanctioned. As a result, the club will face a transfer ban and cannot buy, sell or renew players. Azpilicueta has Barca’s proposal on the table and he can leave for free at the end of the season. Some reports are suggesting that Azpilicueta’s contract has been extended automatically for one more year unilaterally after he played 30 games this season before the transfer ban so he can’t leave. Nothing is clear yet but one thing is certain if his contract has not been renewed automatically then he will surely leave Chelsea this summer because Chelsea will not be able to renew him due to the transfer ban.
