The recent clash for FC Barcelona was nothing short of a disappointment in every way. La Blaugrana took a heavy loss to Villarreal at the Montjuic Stadium, and see their La Liga hopes slip away as a result. Moreover, Barcelona are now also set to lose their head coach at the end of the season as an applicable consequence.

However, despite the dire present that Barcelona continue to live in, there is great hope for the future. Even as Xavi himself stated, the future talents present within this team are of great quality. However, while there may be many talented youngsters in the team currently, perhaps no one stands out as much as a certain 16-year-old.

Lamine Yamal, as he has been so regularly this season, was once again the bright spot for Barcelona. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, his performance against Villarreal was nothing short of commendable either. In fact, MD highlights Yamal as the player who created most of the danger from the perspective of Barcelona.

Visually, his game seems to know no bounds. Whether a person is a fan of the club or not, watching Yamal play can easily allow anyone to understand just how special this young teenager truly is. However, even the statistics back up these statements with how impressive they are.

Against Villarreal, Lamine Yamal had a total of 100 touches on the ball for Barcelona. He took a total of seven attempts at the goal, three of which were on target. Moreover, he created several chances for his teammates, two of which were especially dangerous but could not be converted by his partners.

He also completed 58 of the 68 passes that he attempted throughout the game. Moreover, 36 of those passes were made in the final third and created openings for Barcelona. Furthermore, he was sensational with his dribbling as well. The 16-year-old completed six of the eight dribbles that he attempted against Villarreal.

Defensively, his output was commendable as well. Even though he was not dispossessed even once, he managed to complete seven recoveries by himself. Moreover, he won 12 of the 16 duels that he took part in, as well as successfully completing all three tackles that he made.
