Lamine Yamal has been one of the most exciting players for FC Barcelona since the start of this season. Still only sixteen years of age, Yamal has shown footballing prowess that players even double his age sometimes do not possess.
The youngster has also been able to showcase this talent in two different environments, both at Barcelona and with the Spanish national team. With the latter, he became the youngest player to make a debut and to score a goal in the last international break.
Performance against Betis
As SPORT has noted, the young forward kept up his good form in Barcelona’s latest match after returning from the Spanish senior team. He replaced Joao Felix in the 64th minute after the Portuguese forward had a match to remember on his Barcelona starting debut.
While Yamal was not as impressive as he had been on previous occasions, he still showed signs of his huge talent in the limited time he got on the pitch.
Highly valued already at 16 years of age
As already reported here, Yamal is one of the highest-rated players produced at La Masia and is currently playing. His €25 million valuation, something unthinkable for a sixteen-year-old, ties him with vastly more experienced players like Takefusa Kubo and Alejandro Grimaldo in the top ten valued La Masia graduates.
Marc Cucurella, Ansu Fati, Leo Messi, and Andre Onana are all valued at €35 million, but with the way things are going, Yamal would not need much time to overtake these players as well. He will achieve this by showcasing the most gifted talents that he has already displayed in previous outings.
He has impeccable technique, good control of the ball, and a reading of the game and decision-making that is beyond his young years. His lethality near the goal makes him an even more accomplished forward who is expected to achieve great things in the future.
