While the first team of FC Barcelona has already kicked off their official 2023/2024 season and have taken on their first official opponents in the form of a rigid Getafe CF side, Barcelona Atletic are still taking part in their pre-season preparations for their own official season.

Rafa Marquez’s Barcelona Atletic have thus far managed to add a strong pre-season to their name. In the fourth game of said pre-season, the Barcelona youth side took on fellow Spanish team Lleida Esportiu at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.

Winning 3-0 by the end of the game, as highlighted by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, a key player that caught the eye during the course of the match was new 16-year-old Barcelona signing Noah Darvich.

Having assisted a goal and retrieving the ball that led to another, the German prodigy truly gave a great display to mark the beginning of his time at FC Barcelona after having arrived from German outfit Freiburg.

His influence throughout the game was commendable according to the report and especially in a friendly game that saw constant changes and a team he is not yet too familiar with within the Blaugrana setup.

His display will not necessarily surprise those that have been rating the player since his time in Germany. Despite being just 16 and having barely any first team experience in his career, Barcelona were willing to spend around €5 million to bring the offensive midfielder to Spain and sign him until 2026 with €1 billion release clause.

Expected to be a crucial part of Rafa Marquez’s Barcelona Atletic this season, there is a strong chance that Culers will have the opportunity to see the talented midfielder grace the ranks of the first team not too long from now if he continues to keep impressing beyond just the reputation that he originally comes with.
