FC Barcelona continue to track some of the most exciting young talents in world football. Instead of limiting themselves to specific regions, it seems that the scouting program for the Catalans in global. For now, Barcelona seem to be quite enticed by several great starlets.
The likes of Lucas Bergvall, aged 17, and Estevao Willian, aged 16, are just some of those names. ‘Messinho’, as the latter is usually referred as, hails from Brazil, while Bergvall is a Swedish player playing for Djurgardens. Both of them, from different countries and regions, are priorities for Barça.
Now, it seems, that a new young target has also arrived. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are now targeting 17-year-old attacking midfielder Liam Brazier as well. This specific talent also hails from a new country, with his origin being from England.
Primarily an attacking midfielder, he can operate on both the left and right sides. Brazier is currently contracted to Port Vale, a side that is playing in the EFL League One of English football. This season, he has already made three appearances for the first team.
However, Barcelona will not be alone in their pursuit of Brazier’s talents. In fact, even within his own home country of England, several clubs have taken notice of his abilities. This means that several Premier League sides will also be attentive to the possibility of signing him.
Moreover, even German side Borussia Dortmund have been linked to the player. They were previously also rumored to be interested in the Englishman since December of the previous year. Right now, however, it seems that his talents have also enticed FC Barcelona.
This incoming interest has Port Vale on high alert, and they are advancing on contract talks as well. In turn, should Barcelona or any other side wish to take him away, the English club could guarantee at least some revenue from a potential sale.
