As FC Barcelona fast approach the possible day of confirming the departure of French winger Ousmane Dembele to Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain, it appears that the Catalans will be left without one of their most lethal weapons.
The French winger, albeit inconsistently, has shown that he possesses a variety of unnerving attributes within his style of play that have made him a true favorite of current Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez.
While the departure of the 26-year-old would truly be a blow to the project that Barcelona have eagerly been building over the last season or so, it is not without its benefits either.
According to Catalunya Radio, Barcelona could use the funds generated from the transfer of the Frenchman to bring in a player that they have already agreed terms with both on a personal level and with his club as well.
The 18-year-old Brazilian prodigy, Vitor Roque, already has an agreement in place with FC Barcelona and has also been officially announced as a new signing by the club.
The anticipated arrival of the South American gem was expected to either be in January or possibly the summer of next year given that Barcelona can not accommodate his arrival on a financial level at the moment.
However, the possible departure of Dembele and the conditions upon which he leaves could possibly generate the required funds to ensure that Roque is able to arrive to Barcelona much sooner than expected.
If the Brazilian striker does end up arriving in the summer, Barcelona will indeed be adding some much-needed firepower to an offensive depth that would be missing the explosiveness of their former French winger should he depart.
