Following multiple weeks of speculation at FC Barcelona and adjusting financial allocations to make room for new arrivals, the Catalan club has finally begun to ensure that their objectives for the summer are indeed recruited as the club aims to.
In recent weeks, the race for a particular Brazilian prodigy currently showcasing his talents in the South American regions playing for Athletico Paranaense was getting heated. However, it now seems that the Catalan giants have finally completed the signing of their man.
As per the ever-reliable Italian journalist and transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, FC Barcelona have finally completed the signing of 18-year-old Brazilian prodigy Vitor Roque after weeks and months of pursuit have finally ended up in fruition.
The Catalan club has reportedly agreed a fee of around €35 million in fixed payments with an additional €10 million in variables and add-ons.
Romano confirms that the documentation originally pending to complete the transfer has finally been dealt with and submitted, with the transfer now confirmed between both clubs and personal terms agreed with Vitor Roque and his representatives.
The Italian journalist also confirms that the player will indeed be arriving in Barcelona during January of 2024, acting as a winter signing in the January transfer window to bolster the squad for the remainder of the season potentially.
As per a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, the player is set to sign with Barcelona until 2029, a contract that would see him remain a Barcelona player for 6 years at the least with a speculated release clause of €1 billion to be added, similar to the ones also applied to young talents such as Pedri, Gavi and Ansu Fati among others.
