Training alongside the rest of the first team at the Tito Vilanova field in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, the youngsters are expected to be included in the squad list for the upcoming clash against Valencia as other integral players for the Blaugrana remain unavailable, such as Ousmane Dembele, Pedri, Robert Lewandowski, and Gavi as well due to suspension.

A current part of La Masia, and born in Cambrils on the Catalan coast in 2003, Pedrola started his youth career at Espanyol and Reus before joining Barcelona’s U19 team in 2021. Since then, he has skyrocketed his way through to the senior folds of La Blaugrana’s system, with him having featured against Mallorca as part of Barcelona’s main team just a month after his first game for the B side of the club, coming on at the right side of the attacking trident in place of fellow youngster Ilias Akhomach.

His league debut was a reward of his strong performances and impressive showings in training that nudged Xavi Hernandez into giving the youngster a taste of top-level football, and ever since, he has played 170 minutes for Barca Atlétic, even scoring against Atlético Baleares during that same period.

Showcasing an entirely unique dynamism of his own as a winger, his profile and raw quality are definitely useful assets to have for Xavi Hernandez at his disposal and it will be interesting to see exactly how the player gets deployed under the manager come future opportunities. His development in the Barcelona youth system and how his talent is nurtured further will be absolutely key elements to his rise to new heights, should he manage to achieve them.
