The developed talents who emerge from the youth ranks of FC Barcelona often find themselves at the center of European attention and interest.
Even in the modern landscape of the sport, the club manages to produce players that possess sporting maturity and technical quality beyond those possessed by peers of their age. Gavi, Ansu Fati, and Alejandro Balde are just a few such names.
As has been reported by SPORT, another one of the Barcelona youngsters has now garnered attention from another country in Europe altogether, Italy. The team in question is Serie A side Udinese and the player they seem keen on is none other than Barca Atletic forward, Angel Alarcon.
The 19-year-old forward is one whose performances this season, particularly in the UEFA Youth League, have not gone unnoticed. In the UEFA-based competition mentioned, the Spaniard scored thrice and assisted three times as well in the course of six games.
Moreover, the young forward also impressed Xavi Hernandez so much so that he was given a chance in the Copa Del Ray alongside four appearances in La Liga Santander during the 2022/2023 season.
The player has also struggled with certain muscular injuries in recent years, and ones that have kept him out for significant periods of time as well. However, his commitment has always been absolute and his returns have always sustained his prior quality.
Should a move to the Serie A side materialize for the Barcelona product, he would be joining up with Gerard Deulofeu, who himself was once a product of the Barcelona youth academy.
