It seems that lately, FC Barcelona are receiving positive updates regarding their injured stars. As a matter of fact, recent reports are signaling that things are proceeding rather favorably for the Catalan giants in terms of recovering players.
Over the last few days, uplifting updates have been found in reports suggesting that stars like Pedri and Raphinha are recovering rather well. Moreover, there is speculation that the Brazilian’s return from injury may even be much sooner than previously expected.
However, the very latest of updates highlighted by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo bring light upon the fact that one of Barca’s most promising stars has already made his return. 19-year-old forward Angel Alarcon has officially been included in the Barcelona Atletic squad list to face off against Celta Vigo’s youth side, Celta Fortuna, in a league clash.
The striker was previously unavailable for Barcelona Atletic and subsequently the first team of Xavi Hernandez due to an injury. A rather serious muscle problem in relation to its severity, the youngster was out injured in May of this year and had to undergo surgery as well in Finland.
Coincidentally, as confirmed by MD, the same medical team was also responsible for the respective treatments of Ousmane Dembele, Sergi Roberto, and Ronald Araujo at a previous point. The surgery went successfully and after four months of recovery, the Barcelona academy striker is back at the disposal of Rafa Marquez.
He has previously already made his first team debut under Xavi Hernandez in both La Liga as well as Copa Del Ray. In the Spanish top division, he made four appearances in total against the likes of Cadiz, Almeria, Valencia, and Athletic Bilbao. He also featured against AD Ceuta in the Copa Del Ray round of 16.
Now, the player will hope to regain some semblance of his past form gradually. A talented forward, his transition back into the first team will understandably be gradual at first, but his abilities will undoubtedly be a great asset to himself and to the club at whichever level he plays.
