FC Barcelona have submitted most of their attention towards ensuring the arrivals of elite talents for the first team. However, they have not forgotten their dire economic situation at the club and how departures are just as necessary to bring about a financial balance on their end.
The termination of Samuel Umtiti’s contract and the expected sale of Frenchman Clement Lenglet to Tottenham Hotspur are thus far the only two departures for the first team. Yet, there are many youngsters among the youth ranks of Barcelona that are attracting major interest from other sides.
One such talent from the subsidiary is Spanish forward Estanis Pedrola who currently mainly represents Barcelona Atletic. According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, fellow La Liga side Cadiz FC are interested in the acquisition of the 19-year-old winger.
Sergio Gonzalez’s team is currently awaiting the conclusion of one of their ongoing operations, concerning the sale of Theo Bogonda to Spartak Moscow that would generate close to €10 million and allow Cadiz to be able to pursue their transfer targets for the summer, which include the Barcelona winger.
Estanis Pedrola is a talented winger not simply because of his quality on one flank, but rather his quality on either due to his ability to operate on both the right and the left. His dribbling, ability to unbalance and dismantle defensive structures, and most recently improved finishing statistics have made him quite the appealing prospect for many interested teams.
His 8 goals across the 21 games he has played for Barcelona Atletic alongside his displays even in the playoffs have made his name one that is considered a genuine talent.
The 19-year-old Barcelona winger is also reportedly on the radar of La Liga side Girona, who Barcelona are currently negotiating the transfer of Oriol Romeu for, and the possibility of potential inclusion of a player in that deal could be an option that the sides consider if the opportunity presents itself.
