Barcelona youngster Pablo Torre

20-year-old Barcelona loanee gives his first assessment of his new club

Pablo Torre is one of the FC Barcelona players who have found a new home in this summer transfer window. The player has joined the fellow La Liga side Girona on loan and would be looking to continue his growth and development in this new club.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Torre recently gave his first statements as a Girona player, in which he expressed his expectations to give his best performances in the season to come. The player expressed, “I really wanted to arrive already and be with my colleagues, I am very happy to be here.”

Michel has been an active agent in getting the player to Girona from Barcelona, and Torre also claimed that the Girona coach had an important role in the entire operation. He said:

“The coach called me and told me he wanted me to be here with them. I like the style of play, and it seems like a very fun team. With my abilities, we can do some cool things here.”

The youngster seems to be readily getting incorporated into his new surroundings, and he also gave a glimpse of how well he is getting on with his new teammates in this interview. The player acknowledged that:

“I was surprised from the moment I arrived. The quality of the people and the relationship between the veterans and the young players is very good. I am getting to know everyone, and they have given me a very warm welcome, although I am spending more time with the younger players because I knew them a bit more.”

Torre also gave an assessment of the style of his new coach, Michel, after he debuted for the Girona side. In this regard, the player opined:

“He wanted me to attack a lot, to play behind their midfielders, and to be daring. I was really eager to play, and I believe this is the best team to showcase my best performance. I’m very excited.”

Lastly, he also had a message for the club’s fans and thanked them for accepting him at the club:

“Thank you for the welcome, and I hope to see you soon at Montilivi. We want to have a good season.”

Pablo Torre is at Girona for only one season right now, but early signs are promising and the player seems to be enjoying himself in his new surroundings. Hopefully, the 20-year-old midfielder will continue to develop and return to FC Barcelona as a more grown and developed player.
