Barcelona forward Ansu Fati

20-year-old Barcelona star looking to stay with club amidst conflicting reports

As always in the world of football and particularly in the case of FC Barcelona, news never seems to stay still, and contradicting reports are often found circulating coming from different sources, both reliable and unreliable.

The latest update prior to the one most recently unveiled by Diario AS, 20-year-old Barcelona talent Ansu Fati was looking to part ways with the club following his decision to leave indefinitely through a permanent transfer.

However, as has been reported by Roger Torello and Sergi Sole of Mundo Deportivo, the player in actuality has no intention of leaving the club and instead will continue to try his best to earn his spot within FC Barcelona just as he has always fought to do.

According to the report, Ansu Fati will look to win over the trust and confidence of Xavi Hernandez and earn his place back within the starting eleven.

This update is completely contradictory to the one provided by AS, which instead stated that Fati had deemed his attempts at winning over Xavi to be unsuccessful and was thus considering leaving the club.

The report states that Ansu Fati and his family recently had a meeting in which it was agreed that the player will continue to try and gain Xavi’s trust over the course of the next few months at Barcelona. However, if it does not work out even then for the 20-year-old, an exit may become a plausible feasibility.

Moreover, the update also clarifies that the Barcelona higher-ups, namely new Sporting Director Deco, continue to see Ansu Fati as a Barcelona player who remains contracted to the club until 2027 and his future will remain in his own hands.
