Despite the great start to the season for FC Barcelona, some issues continue to plague the club. While Hansi Flick’s side has a perfect record so far in La Liga, the team continues to miss some key components. Beyond just the failures of Barcelona in the transfer market, the club has issues beyond that as well.
The primary cause for concern has been injuries and it has greatly impacted the team’s depth and ability to perform. Beyond just the recent injury to Marc Bernal that will now keep him away from the field for almost the entire season, Barcelona has other players currently on the sideline as well.
Fortunately for the Catalan giants, however, there is at least some optimism now about a very imminent return for one of those sidelined players.
As pointed out by a certain Fabrizio Romano, 21-year-old Barcelona forward Ansu Fati was back to training on the pitch as he continues his recovery on the grass now. Here are the exact words of the journalist as he also highlights that Hansi Flick continues to trust him:
“Good news for Barcelona as Ansu Fati returns to training after injury. Hansi Flick trusts him for the present and for the future.”
Furthermore, the player is now expected to return to first-team action following the international break. Whereas Frenkie de Jong’s return continues to be an uncertainty and a big issue filled with complications, Fati may already be preparing himself to show Flick what he has to offer.
Even previously, it was reported that Ansu Fati had managed to impress Flick during the team’s pre-season preparations and also caught his eye. With this information, it can be safe to assume that the Barcelona coach possibly may have a plan in mind to execute with Fati in order to bring out his best version again.
Injuries have been a consistent hurdle for the player over the last few years. However, if there is one thing that Barcelona has always given Ansu Fati, it is their faith and time. He has proved before that he is capable of great things with a ball at his feet, but he must now rekindle those sensations once more.
