The transfer market has thus far not really given FC Barcelona a lot of things to be happy about this summer. Instead, the Catalan giants continue to wait for their unique transfer targets to make up their minds or for their clubs to accept the offers made. Ultimately, all it does is put Barcelona at a bit of a disadvantage at the sporting level.

This concern is particularly difficult to deal with for Hansi Flick, who continues to make use of the players at his disposal already. Thus far, the new Barcelona coach has not been provided with any new first-team signings and that is a concerning scenario for any new manager.

Fortunately, however, Flick does have the service of several impressive youngsters at his disposal. From among them, 21-year-old Pablo Torre continues to excel at making the German coach happy. For the former Racing Santander midfielder, the chance to play under Flick is a new opening to guarantee himself a first-team spot next season.

To continue ensuring that, as highlighted by AS, the player hopes to do the same against Real Madrid. While Ilkay Gundogan has reunited with the Barcelona camp in the United States of America and will likely have his part to play in the game against Los Blancos, Pablo Torre is also expected to get his opportunity.

Previously, it was clear to see that Torre wanted to impress Hansi Flick during this tour. However, perhaps no opportunity will be as crucial for him as this game against Real Madrid. Last season, Fermin Lopez used this exact fixture to propel himself into the first team and Torre now has the chance to do it himself.

So far, he remains the top scorer for Barcelona during pre-season. With a goal against UE Olot and Manchester City each, his performances have been commendable in almost every game. Now, against Los Blancos, he hopes to continue that scoring streak and aims to perform at his best.

However, this is his biggest test so far and it now awaits him, as this one could truly define his position within the first team for the upcoming official campaign. Moreover, with Oriol Romeu no longer in the team as well, more slots continue to open for aspiring midfielders and Torre will want to be at the very top of the list of candidates.
