Fermin Lopez was the best player on the pitch as FC Barcelona took on a relegation-threatened Valencia side in their last La Liga match.
The La Masia graduate scored two goals and created another two, and his performance also allowed his teammates to shine, while helping the Blaugranes get a 7-1 victory in that game.
However, his inclusion in the starting lineup for that game was possible only because another key starter for Hansi Flick, Pedri, was unavailable for that game. Although he trained normally ahead of that game, he was unable to participate in the match against Valencia because of gastroenteritis.
But, in their latest training session ahead of the UEFA Champions League game against Atalanta, SPORT reports that Pedri was not only present but also trained at his normal level, along with his teammates on Tuesday.
Thus, if everything goes as planned, the Spaniard will play in the upcoming game on Wednesday, in the last League Phase game of the UCL.
Before this session, Pedri had also been present for training on Monday, when he trained with the players who did not start against Valencia, possibly because of the weakness that he might still have been facing following his illness.
In this session today, Pedri, along with Ferran Torres and Diego Kochen, was also involved in a funny action as the trio unsuccessfully tried to catch a rabbit that had hopped into the training facilities.
Another highlight of this training session on Tuesday was the presence of the Barcelona Atletic fullback Landry Farre, who trained with the first-team players. Hansi Flick wanted to see him train up close and utilized this opportunity to do so.
However, one of the most notable absences from this training session was that of Dani Olmo, who is expected to return to availability only for the upcoming La Liga match against Alaves.
