FC Barcelona have always had a knack for relying on their own youth products and academy graduates to provide quality depth and even at times become mainstays in the first team. While it is a sustainable measure in the long term, there are obvious hurdles within this concept as well.

With his current contractual obligation to FC Barcelona set to expire within a mere few days on the 30th of June this year, the 22-year-old goalkeeper will be looking to establish his footballing career elsewhere.

Consistently brought up to train with the first team and more often than not also finds himself as an option on the bench, but the Spaniard remains unused as the third choice behind Marc Andre Ter Stegen and Inaki Pena who just recently made his La Liga debut against Real Valladolid.
His contributions to Barcelona Atletic remain prominent, but with his goal of being a first-team goalkeeper not likely to be fulfilled at Barcelona, he now will look to make his own way to a new destination where an entirely unknown challenge will potentially await him if the recent report is to be believed.
