Keeping in view the various statements made by Deco and Hansi Flick in the last few weeks, there are not a lot of changes expected in the FC Barcelona squad in the upcoming summer transfer window, and the Catalans are more likely to focus their energies on ensuring the continuity of the players that are currently in the squad.

However, one area that the Blaugranes will still be looking to reinforce in the summer will be that of the left-wing, as was the case in the last two transfer windows.

In this regard, SPORT notes that the wishlist of FC Barcelona is still long, but there are two players that attract the most attention from the Blaugrana sporting department, i.e., Rafael Leão and Luis Díaz, and it is the latter who particularly meets all the criteria set by them.

Rafael Leão has always been a dream signing for Joan Laporta, but still, the Catalans will not go crazy in his pursuit. AC Milan are asking €100 million for his signing, but Barcelona believe that he is too inconsistent a player to make such a huge investment. There is no doubt about his ability to shine in matches, but his inconsistency has also led to some friction with his coaches.

On the other hand, Luis Díaz is an excellent option for Barcelona, and Deco had already been an advocate of his signing last summer, as he has known the Colombian winger since his time at Porto.

For the Blaugranes, the Liverpool forward is of an ideal age, and with his contract ending in 2027 and a renewal nowhere in sight for now, getting him will not really be impossible next summer, especially as the Merseyside club also does not see him as an untouchable piece of their squad going forward.

Meanwhile, the Colombian himself has never hidden his desire to play for Barcelona. Although there are no moves taking place for now, the Catalans are remaining abreast of developments taking place around him, and even though he looks to be an easier candidate for a transfer, they will still have to figure out a way to register him.
