The need to clear up financial space and the importance of selling players for Barcelona becomes more and more evident as the summer transfer window progresses and movements across the window begin to occur.

As of this moment in time, Barcelona remain clear that they must bring in quality recruitments despite their economic hurdles if they wish to be a competing side next season.

The latest revelation from SPORT brings this into light. Stating that while Barcelona have agreed upon only signing a limited number of players, they are adamant on those players being that much exclusively talented and elite in reputation.

However, for such transfers to take place and take place soon, Barcelona have to act quickly in ensuring the departures of several players and subsequently bring in additional funds to economically support their transfer operations in terms of arrivals.

The names of Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, and Franck Kessie remain prominent in terms of transfer-listed players that Xavi does not count on for next season in terms of participation.

Ansu Fati has enjoyed a strong couple of games near the very end of the season and despite it looking as if he may finally be on his way back, the club considers him to be a very vital sale in terms of bringing in substantial funds.

However, the player has made it clear that he will not be moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, since it is the team most heavily linked to the youngster and thus his agent Jorge Mendes continues to look elsewhere for offers.

Second is the name of Spaniard Ferran Torres who arrived from Manchester City during the 2021/2022 season. Despite wanting opportunities, he simply couldn’t manage to break through Xavi’s preferred lineup of forwards.

Now possibly on his way out, something that the player himself is not completely open to and believes he can turn the situation around, both the board and coaching staff believe he will not get many minutes next season either.

Lastly, Franck Kessie is the final piece of the puzzle. The club is hoping to achieve his sale in exchange for €30 million, with clubs from the Premier League possibly interested, and cashing in on him as of right now.

If all else fails, Barcelona also possess the option of sending him off to the Serie A, with clubs like Inter Milan interested. However, it is not their first priority given that the Premier League clubs are more willing to buy him for direct cash.

Subsequently, the sale of various returning loanees is also up for debate. Be it Nico Gonzalez, Clement Lenglet, or Samuel Umtiti, those three are reportedly already listed for exits and some are even close to permanent moves while other players are still being considered by Barcelona.
