Barcelona have on their hands the possibility of finalizing multiple departures and arrivals over the course of this ongoing summer transfer window. For now, the priority lies in ensuring the sales of players that Xavi Hernandez considers surplus to requirement at FC Barcelona and would rather they depart in exchange for some much-needed funds.

As per the recent report on the internal situation at Barcelona by SPORT, the idea is that the potential return of Abde Ezzalzouli to Barcelona could be in danger following current developments.

The Moroccan international has spent this previous season out on loan at Osasuna, and despite the fact that most who have followed him would consider his season on loan a massive success, it appears it may not be enough to guarantee him a place at FC Barcelona.

The 21-year-old held particular importance under the tutelage of previous Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman and has since lost any and all such involvement since the appointment of Xavi Hernandez.

Moreover, the player’s representatives are currently in doubt if that would change at all even once Abde returns to the club following the conclusion of his loan term.

With the club now considering bringing in Yannick Carrasco to replace the expected departing forwards such as Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres, it leaves little room for Abde to end up being a priority in the eyes of Xavi Hernandez.

Both the 21-year-old Moroccan star and his agent believe it best for the youngster to take his talents elsewhere, particularly after how FC Barcelona have handled his return as they simultaneously continued to look for ways to sell him.

The current plan is for the Catalan outfit to test him out during pre-season as to see exactly where he stands amongst the elite group that Barcelona currently possess and if it’s better off sending the player off to yet another club, albeit with a possibility of it being permanent this time around following his recent loan spell at Osasuna being fresh in mind.
