Barcelona have become accustomed to possessing the talents of the best young players in the world from decade to decade, and today is no different. The names of Gavi, Pedri, and Alejandro Balde have become engraved in the minds of most who follow European football and particularly FC Barcelona.

Similar to these new generation “Golden Boys”, not too long ago there was another many assumed would become the face of this new young revolution at Barca, and his name was Ansu Fati.

Once, a player of potent goalscoring threat, he was quick, agile, and burst-full with his technique and flair. He even managed to don the famous number 10 of Lionel Messi following his departure. Now, at this moment in time, the same player no longer exists, or so it seemed.

Following a handful of serious injuries to his knee and muscular regions, the player became more and more hesitant whenever he returned. A few flashes of brilliance, but nothing consistent. The Spanish number 10 was losing importance within the team day by day, but now it seems he may be re-emerging back onto the right track.

Understood to have been a confidence issue on many levels, the player has recently been getting more and more creative as well as adventurous whenever on the field. Scoring thrice for Barcelona in their final two games despite not having full appearances, and now having made two really noteworthy appearances for Spain as well during the UEFA Nations League that La Roja would ultimately end up winning following a final against Croatia.

As per the latest revelation related to this topic by RELEVO, it is being reported that Spanish National Team coach, Luis De La Fuenta, could possibly be the man behind this sudden resurgence of the young La Masia graduate.

Reportedly, the manager was in constant contact with the winger over the last week and has been pivotal in helping him regain his confidence. His displays for Spain were noticeably sharper and reminiscent of his former peak self than most displays he has had this season for his club.

Courtesy of his aid, Spain were able to look threatening against Croatia. On several occasions, whenever the ball fell to his feet, Fati felt like a player with the ability to make a difference and constantly thwarted the opposition’s defense, even coming close to scoring on occasions.

For now, both the player and his agent Jorge Mendes have made it clear that he shall remain at Barcelona and he aims to work on himself over the summer to be able to better aid Barca next season and regain his position in the starting lineup.

His quest is aided by the fact that Barcelona would be facing difficulty in signing new players, so a resurgent Fati could very well end up being a surprise trump card for La Blaugrana.
