FC Barcelona continue to have faith in their various youngsters who are currently a part of their main team and who possess the faith of head coach Xavi Hernandez. However, there are also those yet to find themselves safeguarded within the same blessings.

The latter are a group of players on the verge of displaying their talents and unique abilities to Xavi and the other heads of Barcelona, and through ordeals such as loan spells at other sides or international call-ups, these players are able to make a lasting impression.

Such has been the case for Barcelona youngster Ez Abde, who is currently on international duty with his country following a successful loan spell at La Liga outfit CA Osasuna after he was considered surplus to requirements initially by Xavi Hernandez in the 2022/2023 season.

Now, as has been highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the player continues to shine bright and give Barcelona more of a reason to consider counting on him for the future. With his national team at the moment, the player is representing Morocco at the Under-23 level for the African Cup of Nations of the same category.

Having scored both goals in the group opener against Guinea in which Morocco emerged as 2-1 victors, the player has now in the most recent game against Ghana also managed to score once and provide two assists on top of that in a 5-1 demolition of their opposition.

With these statistics, Ez Abde is now simultaneously both the current top goalscorer of the tournament with 3 goals as well as the best playmaker with 2 assists to his name already in the competition.

Given the initial resolve of Barcelona to sell the player for a sizeable offer, these recent performances added to the great season he had at Osasuna, the 21-year-old winger has provided both club and coach with much food for thought.

Set to partake in the club’s pre-season in the United States of America, his recent dazzling performances and a solid potential pre-season could convince Barcelona and Xavi to count on him for the upcoming season in its entirety.
