A number of players belonging to FC Barcelona were a part of the last FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which was also special for Barcelona fans as their legend Lionel Messi came out victorious in this tournament. However, in addition to this emotional victory, the club is also going to benefit financially from this tournament.

According to SPORT, FIFA is going to distribute $209 million under the Club Aid Program to the clubs that lent their players for the World Cup. This amount will be paid from the profits obtained from the tournament and will be distributed according to the number of players each club contributed for this event.

The report claims that Manchester City is the club that will benefit the most from this program, as it will get $4.596 million. FC Barcelona is the second club in this regard, as the Catalans would get $4.539 million, as its seventeen players played for eight different teams in the tournament.

Bayern Munich is the third with $4.331 million promised, and Real Madrid would be the fourth with $3.836 million.

Atletico Madrid is another top-ten Spanish team that will benefit from this program, as it will get $3.232 million, standing ninth in the rankings. PSG is fifth with $3.835, Ajax is sixth with $3.495, while Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus make up the rest of the top ten teams in this regard.

FIFA will divide $209 million for a total of 837 players that played in the tournament. Thus, the rate for each player comes out to be $10,950 per day, which is irrespective of the number of minutes they played in the tournament.

The total that each player will receive will be divided and paid to the clubs that a player played for in the last two years prior to the tournament. This amount will be distributed through the member federations to which these clubs belong.

For Barcelona, this amount will certainly be helpful in such financially strained times. But in addition to this, Barcelona fans will also be happy that their players played a very conspicuous part in the topmost footballing stage, surpassing the contributions from their traditional rivals, Real Madrid.
