The curious nature of FC Barcelona and other top European clubs always manages to lure them towards talents willing to make efforts to join said clubs. More often than not, not everyone gets lucky enough to get their long-awaited shot at the club of their dreams, but the lucky few that do, tend to cherish it.

One such player who is trying his own level best to help materialize a move to FC Barcelona is Portuguese star, Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid, with the 23-year-old making efforts to aid the Catalan giants in whatever capacity he can.

As per a recent update on the transfer sage involving Felix and Blauganes by Spanish outlet SPORT, the player has reportedly blocked off all other potential suitors by informing Atletico Madrid that he only wants FC Barcelona following his public statement on having the Catalans as his dream club since a long time.

However, a potential move seems highly unlikely at the moment. Already possessing a plethora of attacking talent that looks set to stay for next season and in need of proper time division between them, adding another forward already is not that big of a priority for the Catalans.

The player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is also directly involved in the operation and intends to help his 23-year-old client fulfill his dream of getting to join FC Barcelona as he continues to help in negotiations.

While Barcelona would ideally want an initial loan deal with a non-mandatory purchase option attached, Atletico Madrid hold a different stance regarding a potential loan move as per speculation, believing that the buy option should be mandatory and that Barcelona also pay-up a loan fee for the temporary stay of the player, helping Atleti to pay off his remaining amortization.

The 23-year-old forward continues to attract interest from the English Premier League and other leagues, yet he remains devoted to his word of wanting to join Blaugranes. For now, however, an operation that involves a mandatory purchase option would be unfeasible for FC Barcelona given their current economical situation as a whole.
