FC Barcelona have already made a number of high-quality acquisitions this summer, but the club still remains in the market for more players, especially for a right-back and an attacking midfielder.

Signing an attacking midfielder will gain even more of a priority at Barcelona if Ousmane Dembele’s move to PSG is finalized in the coming days.

Bernardo Silva, the Portuguese midfielder who currently plays for Manchester City, is the top choice of the Catalan club for an attacking player. However, other players like Lo Celso have also been linked with the club recently.

Another player who was strongly linked with the Catalan club in the last few weeks, especially after his comments in which he confessed his admiration for FC Barcelona, is another Portuguese star, Joao Felix.

Felix is currently owned by Atletico Madrid but spent the last season on loan at Chelsea. Despite having costed Atletico a fortune, the player has been unable to impress the Wanda Metropolitano faithful, or the Atleti coach Diego Simeone and the Madrid club’s patience with him seems to be coming to an end.

Latest updates about his situation have been provided by the trusted journalist, Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the Saudi side Al-Hilal has approached Joao Felix. The Saudi club is also open to offering a one-year loan for the Portuguese, whose future is certain to be lying away from Atletico Madrid.

The Al-Hilal manager, Jorge Jesus, has already called Felix multiple times to convince him to move to Saudi Arabia, where the government is investing significantly to promote football. The Saudi league now boasts a number of high-profile players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and N’golo Kante among others.

Although the Saudi league is becoming increasingly competitive and noteworthy, Felix’s priority is to remain in Europe and go particularly to Barcelona. However, Al-Hilal have emerged as an option, and the Saudi investments mean they can offer significantly higher wages to the player than what Barcelona can in their current financial situation.
