Whether it be homegrown talents at FC Barcelona or promising youngsters that the Catalan giants manage to poach away from other clubs despite competing European interest being there, La Blaugrana have always been seen as an ideal hub in football for player development.

FC Barcelona have long since produced not just some of the very best talents in world football from within their academy, but also helped develop players from other schools of football into reaching their best possible level and potential as they become new world beaters from era to era.

The latest acquisition for Barcelona that can truly be considered a prodigy for his age is 16-year-old German offensive midfielder Noah Darvich, who arrived at the Catalan club this very summer in a transfer from Bundesliga side Freiburg’s subsidiary side.

In terms of exactly who this young gem is and why he carries such a huge value to his name, Spanish outlet SPORT highlights the peculiar accomplishments of the young star already with the German Under-17 side in particular that took part in the European championship of the same category not too long ago.

Having been an integral part of the German side that ended up winning the tournament itself and even finding himself in the Team of the Tournament, the Barcelona youngster showcased his elite qualities during the tournament and as a result, invited the interest of Paris Saint-Germain as well as interest from the English Premier League.

However, it ended up being FC Barcelona who would snatch away the left-footed offensive midfielder with an eye for goal whether through a direct offensive or his commendable creativity.

Supreme in terms of his dribbling and technical aspects, the player is expected to find himself among the great German midfielders of this generation and the last if he continues along the projection expected of him.

SPORT does highlight that while the player is technically immense and gifted beyond the levels of those around him, the 16-year-old Barcelona midfielder does lack on a physical front. However, they also state that this is rather normal for his age, and over time, his physical game will only grow to improve and develop.
