FC Barcelona had a hard-fought victory in their match against Osasuna last night. The Catalans went ahead in the final moments of the first half but saw their rival equalize in the second half. However, the Blaugranes were awarded a penalty in the last minutes of the game, which Lewandowski converted to win the game for the Catalans.

It was a difficult game for Xavi’s men, who were playing away from home against a well-drilled Osasuna side. Other teams in La Liga have also played their matches on this matchday, except Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, whose match was postponed due to flood risk.

Kounde in the team of the week

With the matchday over, Sofascore has published their team of the week for La Liga round 4. Only one Barcelona player features in this team, with the rest of the team being represented by different clubs across Spain, without any one of them dominating it.

Jules Kounde is Barcelona’s representative on this team of the week. Jules Kounde is the joint-highest-rated player on the list, along with another former Barcelona youngster, Takefuso Kubo. Both these players are rated 8.8 out of 10 by Sofascore.

Madrid duo also on the team sheet

There are two players from Barcelona’s arch-rivals, Real Madrid, also on the list. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric have made the cut for the Whites, because of their performances against Getafe, in which they helped their club grab a victory in stoppage time.

Kubo has another teammate, Brais Mendez, with him in the team. The forward for this team is Celta Vigo’s Iago Aspas, while Felipe and Valjent from Real Betis and Mallorca respectively feature in the backline.

David Soria, from Getafe, was selected as the team’s goalkeeper after his good performance against Real Madrid. Darwin Machis from Cadiz and Ayoze Perez from Real Betis complete the eleven players for this team.

One absence that Barcelona fans will note in this team would be Frenkie de Jong, who made a notable appearance in the match against Osasuna and was also recognized as the Man of the Match. However, he has missed out on the team of the week for now but hopefully will be featured in it in the coming weeks.
