FC Barcelona remain one of the clubs in Europe with the best developmental programs for their youngsters. La Masia and the club’s subsidiary have proven time and time again that the quality of players they produce and help progress are often of unparalleled ability. For this reason, Barcelona youngsters also tend to attract a lot of European interest.

Not every player from the subsidiary or academy can be sent to the first team. Most of the times, these players end up featuring mainly away from the Barcelona first team during their time at the club. Consequently, other teams use this as an opportunity to pounce.

Especially this season, Rafa Marquez’s Barcelona Atletic has garnered a lot of attention. As per SPORT, several subsidiary players have showcased extraordinary capabilities this season and have thus attracted major interest from the Spanish and European sides in general.

In terms of the defensive candidates, there are four primary players. Mikayil Faye, Pau Cubarsi, Trilli, and Gerard Martin have all attracted interest from separate clubs.

Trilli and Martin, for instance, have both attracted interest from various Spanish sides, with certain low-placed teams from the Primera Division being especially motivated by Martin’s acquisition.

Faye and Cubarsi, on the other hand, are both targets for teams of higher profiles. A recent report even covered how the Senegalese defender was on the agenda of clubs like Girona, Chelsea, and Borussia Dortmund. However, Barcelona remains determined to retain both players. In the case of Cubarsi, renewal talks are also progressing.

Over in the midfield, Granada is especially eager about the prospect of signing Barcelona prodigy Marc Casado. A captain of the subsidiary, the player is seen as being one of the quarry’s most talented stars.

However, the fact that his contract expires in the summer is a source of great worry for Barcelona. Simultaneously, it is a source of great news for interested sides.

Lastly, the attack sees both Pau Victor and Angel Alarcon become great targets of Europe. The latter is a striker who stands out for his strength and versatile capabilities, as well as having already had first-team experience with Barcelona.

Victor, similarly, is also being targeted by many European sides. Despite being on loan from Girona, the player has already scored 11 goals this season and could thus be purchased by Barcelona. They would, however, only like to do this if a suitor is willing to pay more than the value Barcelona makes him a permanent signing for.
