The season is not yet over for FC Barcelona, despite what many would think. While it is true that several key competitions are now lost, all hope is not. Still active in both La Liga and the Champions League, Barcelona have different aspirations for both.

There is still a long way to go in both competitions, and Barcelona have a different kind of difficulty to face in both to achieve the top spot. However, on the more realistic side of things, the exact goals that Barça have highlighted for themselves need a specific kind of dedication.

As highlighted by SPORT, Barcelona aim to cause upsets in the Champions League while also staying afloat in the Spanish First Division. However, their first hurdle in Europe’s premier competition will be the clash against Napoli in the Round of 16.

The side from Naples has not exactly been the most consistent of teams this season. However, the same could be said of Blaugranes across this campaign. Yet, at least on an individual level, Barcelona is regaining momentum with some of their star players reigniting their best versions.

Robert Lewandowski, for instance, is back to scoring freely for the Catalans. Having just recently scored a brace against Celta Vigo, he reached the 50-goal mark in his Barcelona career.

However, despite the Polish striker scoring a brace and helping Barcelona secure all three points, the game was hardly an easy victory. It was only until additional time came around and Barça got fortunate with a late penalty that they managed to take away all three points from the game.

Now, with eyes set on the game against Napoli, Barcelona head to Naples with a dysfunctional record and a team quite irregular in its performances. On the other side of things, Napoli themselves also suffer from the exact same problems.

However, with Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal playing at a good level together, Barcelona have reason to hope. The campaign is still long, but Barcelona need to ensure their progression in the Champions League to make sure their season could still create something magical for them.
