Robert Lewandowski, aged 35, is considered the natural ace of FC Barcelona at this time. However, unlike his best goalscoring years, the Polish striker was struggling quite a lot this season when it came to converting his chances.
However, as mentioned earlier, he seems to be at his best once again. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the former Bayern Munich striker has found his shooting boots at the perfect time right before the clash against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League.
In the last three games, the prolific striker has scored four goals for Barcelona. Moreover, over the course of the last 6 games, he has 5 goals to his name. Moreover, beyond just the number, it is also the quality of goals he is scoring and showcasing through them his elite finishing skills that are seemingly still intact.
However, that does not mean that the Pole is playing perfectly. Beyond just the goals, he seems to still struggle with the technical aspect of playmaking for his teammates.
That has seemingly cost Barça on several occasions this season, but his goals in recent games have started to curb those errors to a certain degree.
Against Napoli, Barcelona will definitely need Lewandowski’s best version. While MD does highlight that his goals will not solve every problem for Barcelona, because there are many, they will still help the side a lot, especially against tough rivals in close encounters.
