FC Barcelona must still deal with a lot of different headaches before they are ready for next season. The Catalan giants have already been forced into a position of uncertainty ahead of their next campaign, and that comes as a consequence of their own coach’s decision to leave Barcelona.

Xavi Hernandez, following the rather untimely defeat to Villarreal, announced that he would be parting ways with the club at the end of the season. This sent shockwaves throughout the footballing world, and understandably so.

Since that announcement, speculation about his successor has been running non-stop. Out of the many possible candidates, German names have stood out in particular as they gain more and more momentum to become the possible new revolution at Barcelona.

One name that seems to align perfectly in terms of the timing of this whole ordeal is that of Thomas Tuchel. A successful coach with a long resume that includes having coached clubs like Borussia Dortmund, PSG, and Chelsea in the past, he currently leads Bayern Munich over in the Bundesliga.

However, despite being heavily linked to Barcelona, SPORT highlights his recent statement regarding his future. In a press conference, the Champions League winning coach declared that his future is yet to be settled:

“Nothing will happen to me until the end of the season. I consider myself a great professional and I will dedicate myself completely to Bayern Munich until the end of the season.”

This answer comes as a response to him being asked about potential destinations for him in the summer. With Bayern already having decided to part ways with the German coach once the season concludes, there is still no confirmation about where exactly he ends up.

Another German coach who may end up being caught in the crossfire, however, is Hansi Flick. A former record-breaking coach at Bayern Munich, he is reportedly wanted by both Barcelona and his former employers to take charge of the Bavarian club.

With Tuchel set to leave, even Flick’s future now has more clouds shrouding it. Barcelona need a replacement for Xavi to lead back towards a sporting revolution, while Bayern need a proven coach back to recover their lost dominance since the meteoric rise of Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.
