Moving onwards, FC Barcelona will be a lot more mindful of how they handle their finances. Mistakes from the past continue to haunt them even today, restricting how much they are able to spend. As a consequence of those mistakes, Barcelona is no longer even able to compete properly in the transfer market.

However, the Catalan giants are hoping to change that sooner rather than later. A lot of optimism is currently present within Barcelona, as per several reports, that the club can put these financial restrictions behind them and return to the 1:1 rule soon enough.

Now, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have already taken a massive step to make that a reality. In the latest update, Barcelona have sent their official financial documentation to the offices of La Liga as they now hope to take the final steps towards finding their financial status.

The goal is to now have a budget allocated for next season that will better allow Barcelona to plan for the summer transfer window. All clubs in La Liga are expected to ensure the final records of their various financial statements by April 30, and Barcelona have obliged with it timely.

In the coming few weeks, La Liga will go through said documents and check to see if the right economic margins have been met for Barcelona to return to the 1:1 rule that the club so desperately aspires for. There is great optimism about Barça doing so, however, as has been revealed by Joan Laporta himself previously.

By attaining that ratio, Barça can return to making sound investments in the market again. The exact value of what they sell can then be reinvested without any problems into entirely different operations. Targets such as those of signing players like Joshua Kimmich or Bernardo Silva, consequently, would become much more feasible as well.

However, all Barcelona can do now is wait. They have submitted the adequate documents and only once the offices of La Liga are done with their thorough examination would a final answer arrive. Until then, Barcelona will likely continue to devise alternative plans that they would likely proceed with once the summer window opens.
