If Barcelona are to bring in some more players before the end of this summer transfer window, they will have to bring in a significant cash injection that will allow them to return to the 1:1 rule.

The Catalans are working hard to achieve this objective, and during the summer, it was believed that they would be able to reach the required figures with the departures of some of their players and the arrival of a new investor for Barca Vision, which would cover for the lost €40 million that were to come from Libero.

For this purpose, Barcelona reached an agreement with the catering company Aramark, but La Liga did not validate this agreement in its entirety, and thus the 1:1 status remained elusive. In such circumstances, the Blaugranes had to part ways with some players like Ilkay Gundogan and use the salary space of the injured Andreas Christensen to register Dani Olmo.

In the meantime, Barcelona continue to work on returning to the 1:1 rule, and for this purpose, SPORT reports they can reach an agreement in principle with Nike before the transfer window closes at Friday midnight.

Sources at the club are confident that this agreement can be reached by Friday, and they have already communicated this to La Liga. It needs to be remembered here that this will only be an agreement in principle, and a definitive agreement might be reached only in October. However, Barcelona are hopeful that La Liga will accept this agreement in principle to return them to the 1:1 status.

If that turns out to be the case, the Catalans can bring in some more players to further reinforce Hansi Flick’s squad. Regarding the deal itself, with this agreement, Barcelona will renew their commitment with Nike for the next ten years, and would receive around €90 million plus variables every season. They would also receive a €120 million bonus, which will be spread over these ten years.
