It is already the last day of the summer transfer window, and it is looking increasingly unlikely with every passing hour that FC Barcelona will be able to bring in another reinforcement to their team.

In fact, Mundo Deportivo reports that their sources at Barcelona believe that it is almost impossible to strengthen their team on the final day of the transfer window.

To sign a new player, the Blaugranes will first have to return to the 1:1 rule, which is looking highly difficult. But they have not been able to reach an agreement either with Nike or with another investor for Barca Vision.

One of the options that the Catalans still had to be able to bring in a new player was a Presidential guarantee, which has already been used to sign players like Inigo Martinez and Jules Kounde. However, Barcelona will use this tool this time only if Deco and Flick can put up a player of exceptional quality on the table.

Still, the club’s sporting department believes getting a new player will be possible only after returning to the 1:1 rule. Furthermore, even if this status is achieved, Barcelona would be able to sign only free agents or players whose clubs are pushing them to join other teams, with the players also bringing their wages in line with what the Catalans can afford at this moment.

The Blaugrana club had retained hopes of getting a player up to yesterday and had also contacted Jorge Mendes to get in touch with AC Milan forward, Rafael Leao. Moves were also made for the Bayer Leverkusen defender, Jonathan Tah.

However, it was also yesterday that it was pointed out in the media that without a major surprise, there would be no moves possible for Barcelona. As the Catalans can spend only 60% of the wages and amortization of an outgoing player and only 20% of the fee earned from him, they are also not open to selling their current players like Eric Garcia or Ansu Fati.
