There has been a lot of speculation over the injury of a certain Barcelona forward recently. Following the game between Spain and Denmark, 17-year-old Lamine Yamal was seen clearly limping and in some discomfort. Consequently, a lot of reports have speculated over the current condition of the Barcelona youngster.

Moreover, given the fact that the Catalan giants are expected to face three difficult games in quick succession right after the international break, this speculation concerning Yamal could not have arrived at a worse time. However, there now seems to be a bit more clarity about his situation.

As revealed by Fabrizio Romano recently, the player seems to only have discomfort and a serious injury is not expected. For Barcelona, this comes as great news given that the possibility of having Yamal be injured was one that no one at the club would wish to bear or deal with.

Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, another major development is taking place in this regard. The 17-year-old Barcelona prodigy is now expected to return back to the club following this discomfort and he will be taking an early leave from the National team camp.

With his return, it is safe to assume that Barcelona will likely make him undergo some tests at the club facilities as well. Having the player be fully fit for the upcoming games in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League is a key priority for the Catalan giants, and they will want to be thorough in their examinations as a result.

Given how valuable of an asset Yamal is to both his club and country, his physical progression is something that cannot be taken lightly. As such, he is expected to return to Barcelona today and he will get some time to rest before club competitions resume near the final days of October.

Medical tests that took place today have already confirmed that there is no serious injury but the player definitely has some muscle strain that will keep him away from competing in the upcoming game between Spain and Serbia. While Luis de la Fuente will see this as a huge blow to his plans, Hansi Flick can at least rest assured that his star winger is going to be back at the club soon.
