With another goal against RCD Espanyol last night, the Barcelona winger Raphinha continues building on the amazing start that he had to the 2024-25 season.
With this goal, the Brazilian took his goal tally to 11 this season, and as Mundo Deportivo has noted, he has already surpassed the 10 goals that he had scored in the two previous seasons with Barcelona with more than half of the current season still to go.
It has only been about three months since the season started, and Raphinha has already been directly involved in 18 goals scored by his team. He has 11 goals to his name, including his hat-tricks against Real Valladolid and Bayern Munich, and 7 assists in only 1248 minutes so far into the season.
Thus, Raphinha is scoring a goal after every 113.45 minutes, and creating a goal after every 178.28 minutes, and these numbers are significant improvements over his numbers under Xavi.
In his first season at Barcelona, the €60m-rated Brazilian scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in the 2899 minutes played in 50 games. Thus, he scored or provided an assist after every 290 minutes in that season.
Raphinha had a rather inconsistent second season, mainly because of injuries, but he was still able to play 1951 minutes in 37 games, in which he scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists. Thus, he scored a goal every 195 minutes and provided an assist every 177 minutes.
Overall, Raphinha’s best season in terms of goalscoring and creation was that of 2017-18, in which he scored 18 goals and provided 4 assists while still playing in Brazil. He reached these numbers playing 3674 minutes in 43 games, and thus scored after every 204.11 minutes and provided an assist after every 918 minutes.
Thus, Raphinha is on course to have one of the best seasons of his career. Hopefully, he will continue with the hunger and grit that he has shown up to now till the end of the season to have a really memorable season with Barcelona.
