Ansu Fati’s future at Barcelona is increasingly uncertain as the winter transfer window progresses, with the young forward struggling to secure a place in Hansi Flick’s plans. Despite receiving Flick’s support to remain at the club, Fati’s lack of playing time in recent weeks has fueled mounting speculation regarding his next move.

Since his return from a muscle injury in December, Fati has featured for only 28 minutes in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey match against Barbastro. Though available for the last ten fixtures, the 20-year-old has been left out of the squad six times, underscoring his difficulty in breaking into the first-team setup under Flick.

However, Fati remains determined to make it at Barcelona, as his agent, Jorge Mendes, continues to engage in discussions with Barcelona’s sporting director Deco over potential options, including a possible exit. Despite the limited opportunities, Fati has no immediate plans to leave, with Mendes advocating for a move that could benefit the young talent’s career.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are in need of offensive reinforcements, and Fati’s departure could create valuable salary space, enabling the club to pursue a new addition to the attack.

Reports suggest that Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is a prime target, with the England international reportedly willing to take a financial cut in order to join Barcelona for the remainder of the season.

However, Barcelona’s ability to sign Rashford depends on offloading either Fati or Andreas Christensen during this transfer window. Both players have been linked with exits, with their departures providing the necessary financial flexibility for the club to complete a move for the Manchester United star.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding Fati’s future, several clubs have expressed interest in his services, with a notable focus from Turkish sides. José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe has previously shown interest in the player, but they are not the only club in Turkey looking to secure Fati’s signature.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik (h/t SPORT, Beşiktaş has also emerged as a potential suitor for the young forward, with a loan move being a key option on the table.

Currently sitting sixth in the Turkish Super League, Beşiktaş finds itself just four points behind the European Conference League spots. However, their aspirations of winning the league title or qualifying for major European competitions such as the Champions League or Europa League remain a distant dream.

The club’s manager, former Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær, is reportedly keen to strengthen his squad, and Fati could provide a much-needed boost to the Istanbul-based team’s attacking options.

As Fati’s future remains up in the air, the coming days will be crucial in determining whether the young forward stays at Barcelona or takes a new path in his career, with the Turkish Super League emerging as a potential destination.
