FC Barcelona are in a state of euphoria after their incredible win over Bayern Munich last night. The Blaugranes were finally able to slay their demons by convincingly crushing one of the top European teams that has been the source of several of its European humiliations in the last few years.

While this feeling of happiness is present in everyone associated with the Catalan club, one person who will be the most delighted after the last night is Raphinha. The Brazilian winger scored a hat-trick in such a big game, which also happened to be his 100th game with the Blaugrana club.

Thus, he not only received the match ball, which was also signed by his teammates, but also the MVP trophy and a shirt from the club to commemorate this latter achievement.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, he also spoke to the media after the game, and expressed his happiness with the result and his contribution:

“It’s a very happy night, I’m leaving very pleased with the match, with what we all did, because it was a good team performance, because it’s the second win in the Champions League… and now we focus on the next game.”

“I said before the game that this match could have been the Champions League final, and I stand by that. To win like this in front of our fans is very special… I’ll stick with the three goals, and also Robert’s. I’ll take all four.”

The Brazilian also commented on the upcoming El Clasico: “It looks great considering Madrid’s game and ours in the Champions League this week.”

Raphinha has been unable to get past the 10-goal mark in his last two seasons at Barcelona, but it is looking highly likely that he will be able to go beyond this number this season as he already has 9 goals, and the player himself believed this:

“Will I finally surpass 10 goals? I think so… I’ll work for it.”

This was certainly a memorable night for Raphinha. Hopefully, he will be able to recreate this performance in the upcoming match against Real Madrid on Saturday and provide the fans with even more cause for celebration.
