Lamine Yamal had an explosive last year in the truest sense. The youngster made his way to the first team at the start of the 2023-24 season and quickly established himself as one of the regular starters for Xavi. He then went on to showcase his talents at the highest level for Barcelona and Spain and broke almost every youth-related record in the last year.
With his amazing performances at such a young age, Yamal has seen his value surge at a blazing pace. At only 17 years of age, he is already one of the most highly-valued players in the world.
Naturally, his performances also did not go unnoticed by other top clubs across Europe, even though it was clear that Barcelona would not part ways with such a generational talent.
Still, the Catalans were tempted by a very big offer for Yamal from one of the richest clubs in Europe. There were rumors of Paris Saint Germain putting in an astronomical offer for the young Spaniard, and now, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, the agent of Dani Olmo and Mikayil Faye, Andy Bara, has also confirmed this.
The Croatian agent commented on this offer as he talked to a podcast and said: “I know that Barcelona rejected a big offer from PSG for Lamine Yamal, valued at around €250 million.”
Such an enormous offer could certainly have tempted Barcelona, especially with all the financial problems they are facing currently. But there is no doubt that Yamal can grow up to become one of the biggest names in the footballing world in the years to come, and parting ways with such an amazing talent for any amount of fee would be bad business for any side.
The youngster is having another very good start to the 2024-25 season, as he already has four assists and one goal to his name.
