One of the players at FC Barcelona who has been frequently in the news related to the club is the youngster, Ansu Fati. The youngster has been reported to be nearing a move away from the club, after having tried his best to remain and succeed with Barcelona.
Ansu Fati rose to prominence at Barcelona when he made his debut under Ernesto Valverde in August 2019, which made him the youngest player to have debuted with FC Barcelona in the entire history of the club. However, the youngster has had a mixed time at the Catalan club since his debut.
Ancelotti believes in Fati
Ansu Fati started his Barcelona career flying high, as he showed amazing form early on. However, injuries and lack of fitness have cost the player dearly, who has spent a significant time on the sidelines in the last few years.
While the player has resisted any major injury during the last year, he is still yet to get back to the form that he showed early in his career. This lack of ability to come back to his best form has resulted in a sort of pessimism on whether the youngster can ever become the player he was destined to be.
One of the individuals who still believe in the young Spaniard’s talents is, surprisingly, the head coach of Barcelona’s fiercest rivals, Real Madrid.
In his latest media talk, Carlo Ancelotti was asked a question regarding the possibility of Real Madrid signing Ansu Fati. Without giving too much of an opinion on this question, Ancelotti ended up praising Fati’s talent:
“He’s a young player with immense talent and he’s got a very bright future. That’s all I will say.”
Fati’s future at Barcelona
This question regarding the possibility of Real Madrid signing Fati has come in an environment where the Catalans are trying to offload the Spaniard to raise funds for more signings and lower their wage bill. Previously, the Blaugranes tried to swap him for Ruben Neves from Wolves, but Fati refused to leave the club.
However, the Catalan club and Fati’s agent, Jorge Mendes, both are still looking for a way out for the youngster, who himself wants to succeed only at Barcelona.
Still, as Ancelotti also commented, it is too early to give up on Fati’s talents, and the player can have a great career ahead if he can get rid of his physical problems. He has been treading on a path of redemption for the last few months, and the season ahead is going to be a crucial one for his career.
