Andreas Christensen returns to Barcelona training

The Danish defender returns to Barcelona to resume club training alongside the rest of his actively participating teammates. At the moment, Christensen is training individually following his return from the Danish World Cup camp and is joined in essence by Ronald Araujo, who continues his individual recovery from an earlier injury as well.

In the case of the group training, Marc Casadó, a Barcelona Atlètic player, is joined by several youth players namely Ángel Alarcón, Astralaga, Arnau Casas, Héctor Fort, Unai Hernández, Dani Rodríguez, and Lamine Yamal, who are all currently training with the available first team players.

The available players continue their work at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, while those that have just returned from the World Cup make most of the remaining days off that they have been granted.

The next few expected to return are Luis Enrique’s Spanish players that had been called up for the World Cup in Qatar, with them resuming training from the start of next week. Another name expected to promptly resume training is Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, who was unable to play even a singular minute for Die Mannschaft during the World Cup.

Barcelona now look forward to their first encounter back in La Liga after the conclusion of the tournament in Qatar, getting to face Espanyol at Camp Nou on the 31st of December.
