His good performances for Celta Vigo this season have already earned him to be called up by Luis de la Fuente for the Spanish national team.

Although the English team has not yet taken any specific steps for his transfer, he still remains one of the main targets for Unai Emery, while the Aston Villa board also holds him in high regard.
Meanwhile, Barcelona will be rubbing their hands with excitement for this latest development, as Mingueza has a €20 million release clause, and with their 50% right on any fee paid for him, the Blaugranes will get €10 million in their coffers if the English club, or any other side, ends up paying his release clause in January.
