The current squad at FC Barcelona is one that the club believes needs proper filtering, given that there are many players currently within the team that do not find themselves to be in the plans that Xavi Hernandez has for next season.

At the moment, English Premier League outfit Aston Villa continue to be the side most interested in the services of the 23-year-old and despite their earlier offer being inadequate and the Birmingham club being unable to comply with the salary demands of the player.
As per Spanish outlet SPORT, the English club is willing to try again and be more accommodating to the player’s demands, despite the fact that Unai Emery considers this to be an important yet complicated signing at this point.
Thus far, the biggest hurdle in offloading Ferran Torres has been the player’s own reluctance to leave, something that Barcelona believe Aston Villa should look to accomplish as they keep the doors open for a potential transfer.
Barcelona must carefully progress with all dealings at this point of the transfer window, especially given that star French winger Ousmane Dembele is in the midst of a potential operation with French club Paris Saint-Germain, a scenario that Barcelona consider to be a complete wild card out of nowhere.
