Barca Atletic coach praises 19-year-old starlet after the 2-1 win against Sabadell FC

Pablo Torre, the 19-year-old Barca midfielder has not been able to secure many minutes within the first team dynamics following his transfer. Brought in from Racing Santander upon assessments of his outstanding technical abilities, the player is yet to definitely mark his arrival in the top levels of Spanish football.

However, the youngster has received opportunities to shine amongst those in his age group. The 19-year-old has been called to represent Rafa Marquez’s Barca Atletic on 3 various occasions this season and the youngster has already managed to get approval and appraisal from the subsidiary’s manager.

While Estanis Pedrola was undeniably the MVP of the game against Sabadell, scoring both goals in the team’s 2-1 win over their 14th-placed opponents in the third tier of Spanish football, Rafa Marquez would also go on to specify just how integral Pablo Torre has been for them whenever available, stating after the game:

“Pablo Torre gives us many solutions, his contribution gives the team a leap in quality and in the second half, it was noticed when the team couldn’t find it. It suits him to play with us during the first team breaks.

Providing the assist for Pedrola’s second goal as well, the now Barcelona youngster from Racing Santander thoroughly displayed his technical brilliance even beyond just his goal contribution. The player has also managed to show sparks of brilliance within the first team of Barcelona in the little time he has been given to prove himself.

A UEFA Champions League goal as his first for the club speaks for itself, and a particular specialty when it comes to set pieces was also showcased when he assisted Ronald Araujo’s headed goal against CF Intercity from a corner in the Copa Del Ray.

It remains to be seen just how much the player goes on to play a part in this remaining campaign within the first team, but the youngster has an undeniable talent and will indefinitely be a strong asset to Barcelona for many years to come.
