Here are how the players fared in this game:

Player Ratings:

Marc Andre Ter Stegen: 7.5

Was not given almost anything to do for the entirety of the game, courtesy of the sublime defending in front of him. Maintains another clean sheet as he makes his way towards his first Zamora trophy.

Jordi Alba: 8.5

Absolutely brilliant performance by the veteran, bagging both a goal and an assist as he ran back the clock. It was in fact his opening goal that seemed to revitalize Camp Nou and motivate his team to improve.

Andreas Christensen: 7.5

Strong, composed and never under pressure, the Danish defender was at the top of his game. His consistency is massively admirable.

Ronald Araujo: 8.0

Aggressive and assertive as always. The Uruguayan was brilliant for the entirety of the game and kept Sevilla at bay at all times.

Jules Kounde: 7.5

Consistent enough, but not one of Kounde’s absolute best performances. Was solid to an extent in both offensive and defensive actions.

Sergio Busquets: N/A

Sustained an unfortunate Injury in the opening minutes of the game.

Frenkie De Jong: 8.0

Ran the game at times for FC Barcelona. His pinpoint accuracy and commanding runs allowed Barcelona to unlock new pathways throughout the game.

Pedri: 8.0

Similar to De Jong, ran the show with his intricate passing and his immaculate vision to circulate the ball effortlessly as well as simultaneously retain possession.

Not one of his best performances, Gavi was mostly silent during the game. There were obvious shows of brilliance from time to time, but not to the extent the youngster has showcased often this season.

The Pole was not at his best yet again and seems to have lost his rhythm a bit because of the suspension. Is constantly a threat to goal, however, and was denied a stunning goal by an even better save by the Sevilla keeper Bonou.

Raphinha: 9.0

Undisputable in his claim as the man of the match. Scored a well-timed goal, and provided a stunning assist and a composed pre-assist as well. Was moderately average during the first half, but completely upped the quality and tempo of his performance in the second 45 minutes.

Substitutes:

Franck Kessie: 8.0

Was brought in early to replace Sergio Busquets and did not disappoint. Showcased exactly why Xavi should probably have more faith in the Ivorian, the player grabbed a brilliant assist as well as a complete performance.
