FC Barcelona are soon to take part in a pre-season tour of the United States of America in the coming days as the chosen squad for the said tour has already arrived in the American country and continues to prepare in the city of Los Angeles, before they kick off their tour against Juventus in Santa Clara.
A total of 32 players have been chosen to travel to the United States of America to be given a chance to prepare for the upcoming 2023/2024 season as well as showcase their respective importance to this Barcelona side so that the manager can make better-informed decisions about what players he would like to count on and those that are unnecessary to his current plans.
The squad in question also includes new signings Ilkay Gundogan, Oriol Romeu, and Mikayil Faye alongside returning loanees such as American fullback Sergino Dest, all of whom will get their respective chance to better integrate themselves within this Barcelona side.
However, according to Jijantes FC, when 20-year-old Barcelona prodigy and star Pedri was questioned regarding the pre-season preparations thus and specifically which player surprised him the most, the Spaniard took the name of the fellow 20-year-old midfielder, Fermin Lopez, stating:
“A player I really like is Fermin. I had never had the pleasure of playing with him before, and I can see that he has a lot of determination and, above all, a lot of skill.”
The 20-year-old youngster currently plies his trade for the Barcelona subsidiary and is set to be an important part next for Rafa Marquez’s Barcelona Atletic side. Having already experienced a loan spell at Linares, where he showcased his brilliant ability as a footballer, the youngster is now set to help the subsidiary aspire for higher objectives.
At the same time, the player also managed to impress first-team manager Xavi Hernandez prior to the pre-season flight to the United States in training, and thus prompted the Spanish coach to bring him along. Add to that the recent high praise from a talent like Pedri, Fermin Lopez could definitely be one to keep an eye on.
