Robert Lewandowski was back to scoring ways last night as he got on the scoresheet twice in the 3-0 win against Brest. The FC Barcelona superstar has now surpassed the 100-goal mark in the UEFA Champions League and is the first player to do so after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

However, the Pole is already 36 years old, and Barcelona understand that his time playing at the highest level may not last long. Thus, they are already looking for a long-term replacement for their star striker, and one of the options they had been linked with in this regard was the Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.

But landing the €70m-rated Swede will not really be easy for the Blaugranes as he has reportedly decided to play in the Premier League for the next season, as he looks to reunite with his former coach Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.

In such a scenario, SPORT reports that Barcelona have already identified an alternative target, as they have set their eyes on the Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak, who is now their main target for the next summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Catalans are already preparing to make a big offer for him as they are convinced he can lead their attack in the future.

The 25-year-old Newcastle United striker has already scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in his 12 appearances up to now. He has been in particularly good form recently, as he has scored 4 of his 5 goals in the last 5 games.

But even for this alternative target, Barcelona will face significant competition from other big clubs across Europe. One such side interested in the Swede is the English side Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta is looking to take advantage of the fact that there have yet been no indications about the renewal of a contract with the Premier League side that ends in 2028.
