Barcelona already working on their next pre-season tour destination

While the USA pre-season tour of FC Barcelona may not have unfolded exactly as planned, it has undeniably been a fruitful experience for the Blaugranes. American fans of the club were treated to an exceptional opportunity to witness their beloved team in action, with those from Dallas particularly fortunate to savor a thrilling Classico victory on American soil.

In light of the tour’s resounding success, Mundo Deportivo reports that the Catalan club is already laying the groundwork for another pre-season tour of the United States next summer.

However, the future pre-season tour will be more limited than the current one as a number of Barcelona players will be busy with the UEFA Euro Cup in Germany in the summer of 2024 and the Olympic games in Paris.

One notable highlight from this tour was the team’s extended stay at a single venue. Their nine-day sojourn in Los Angeles afforded the players ample time to train and focus on their preparations more effectively than shorter stays would have permitted, despite the unexpected challenge of a gastroenteritis outbreak.

For the upcoming trip, the club plans to minimize unnecessary travel, given the tour’s relatively shorter duration compared to the current one.

The club has already proactively initiated contact with sponsors and organizers, actively exploring potential venues for next summer’s tour. While the project remains in its nascent stages, the enthusiasm from the Catalan club for another tour of the USA is palpable, buoyed by the positive experiences they have garnered thus far.

The North American country currently stands as a paramount football market, with mega-events such as the FIFA World Cup 2026 and FIFA Club World Cup 2025 scheduled to grace its shores.

Barcelona fervently aspires to secure a spot in the latter tournament, recognizing that doing so hinges on capturing a Champions League title, as regulations prohibit more than one club from the same country from participating, and Real Madrid clinched the UCL victory in 2022.

Overall, despite minor deviations from the initial plan, Barcelona’s USA pre-season tour has left an indelibly positive mark, and the club is ardently looking forward to their next adventure on American soil, aiming to further strengthen their global presence and engage with their ever-growing fanbase across the Atlantic.
