One of the FC Barcelona players who has been linked strongly with a move away from the club in the last few days is the midfielder Franck Kessie. He is currently on the pre-season tour of the USA with the rest of the squad, and it is in the States that his future is being decided.
In recent days, it was reported that Barcelona and Juventus would schedule a meeting in the US, with the transfer of Franck Kessie a main item on the agenda. The Italian giants have been pushing for the signature of the midfielder in the last few weeks, with other sides like Tottenham and Inter Milan also having shown an interest in Kessie.
Now, according to the latest report from SPORT, the Catalan and Sicilian clubs have reached an agreement for the transfer of Kessie. The player would move on a one-year loan to Juventus, but the Turin-based club would be obliged to purchase him at the end of this loan for an amount between €10-15 million.
However, the transfer is not fully concluded yet, as Juventus still have to convince Kessie to move to Sicily. The report claims that the Italians will speak with Kessie while he is still on the USA tour and try to seduce him for a move.
Previously, Kessie has not shown too much willingness to join Juventus. The player has expressed his desire to stay at Barcelona multiple times, but if this is impossible, he has been open to a move to Saudi Arabia or the Premier League.
However, his mind seems to be changing and softening towards Juventus a bit now. The perseverance of the Italian club can actually end up convincing Kessie to return to Italy after having made his name with AC Milan, with whom he also won the Scudetto in his last season.
