Barcelona announce squad for the match against Cadiz

Barca vs Cadiz

Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández has called up 20 players for FC Barcelona’s upcoming league match against Cadiz CF. The Catalonian La Blaugrana will face the challenge of Andalusian El Submarino Amarillo on Sunday night at Camp Nou.

Xavi’s side received a major boost as the veteran midfielder and club captain Sergio Busquets has received the medical green light ahead of the fixture against Cadiz and is expected to get some game time.

However, Xavi will not be able to count on the services of Ronald Araujo as the Uruguayan defender is suspended for this game following an accumulation of 5 yellow cards, the last straw being his 5th that he received against Villarreal.

Moreover, Xavi will also be without the utility of having Pedri available, for at least this coming month, following a thigh injury that he sustained during Barcelona’s Europa League play-off tie against Manchester United.

There are rotations to be expected as well in the final line-up that Xavi Hernandez ultimately ends up choosing. Recent reports from Mundo Deportivo suggest that both Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres are the chosen ones to start on either flank of Robert Lewandowski when La Blaugrana’s Andalusian opponents arrive to Camp Nou.
